Beach hotel in Miedzyzdroje
Seaside vacations and the festival glamour

Miedzyzdroje (Misdroy) is a seaside resort located on the Polish Amber Coast, close to the German border. It is famed for the Festival of Stars held here annually at the beginning of July: actors and artists come to Miedzyzdroje at that time, and many of the meetings and events take place in the iconic sea view hotel – Vienna House Amber Baltic Miedzyzdroje. The city is situated on the largest island in the country, Wolin, renowned for its beautiful sandy beaches. Nearby there is also the Wolin National Park, a sanctuary of unspoiled nature with a wisent reserve and nests of the white-tailed eagle (considered to be the prototype of the Polish national emblem). The perfect place to switch off and unwind.

THE EXACT LOCATION

The seaside hotel Vienna House Amber Baltic Miedzyzdroje is located in the very centre of the city, near the pier and right next to the Promenade of Stars, where the festival celebrities leave the imprints of their hands. The promenade and a newly laid-out park run along one side of the hotel while the other side looks out onto steep cliffs and the Wolin National Park – numerous paths and hiking trails will allow you to explore it. The location of this Baltic beach hotel makes it easy to get to the island of Usedom on board the Adler-Schiffe ferry. The ferry terminal in Świnoujście and the border crossing can be reached in half an hour by car.

  • OCEANARIUM IN MIEDZYZDROJE

A place with an area of 3000 m2, will allow you to see fish from the farthest corners of the world: predatory sharks and moray eels, beautifully coloured coral reef fish like clownfish, triggerfish, angelfish and freshwater beauties – sturgeons, peacock bass fish, arapaimas and many others. Without a doubt, one of the main attractions is a 16-metre-high tunnel filled with incredible fish. For visitors there is a touch pool where you can touch live fish or a paludarium with Japanese koi carp. Tanks filled with 220 tons of water will interest many. For the youngest guests there are also interesting attractions prepared: an educational and multimedia room, where children can learn through play, a playroom or 1:1 scale shark exhibition.

  • The charms of Szczecin

Once you've explored all the attractions in Miedzyzdroje, go on a trip to Szczecin. One walk will take you around the iconic places so you can feel the spirit of the ‘city of the griffin’. Start from the Podzamcze district, known as the ‘new Old Town’. Its appearance today differs from the pre-war, although it refers to it. The Sienny Market Square is a popular meeting place for locals and tourists. Next on the route is the Renaissance Pomeranian Dukes' Castle, towering over the city – you won't miss it. Then head towards the Przełomy Dialogue Center – this is a special place related to recent history: here in December 1970 the first shots were fired at protesting workers. Nearby you have the Szczecin Philharmonic, one of the most modern buildings in Poland, which has already become a contemporary architectural icon. End your walk at Wały Chrobrego, from where there is a beautiful panorama of the Oder and the port.

  • BOAT TRIP TO ALBECK, HERINSDORF & BANSIN

Guests on the Wolin are welcome to take advantage of the Adler-Schiffe ferry service and go on a day trip to the German island of Usedom. With world-class architecture and a twelve-kilometre-long promenade, a visit to the three imperial resorts located there has been a must for almost 200 years on the island of Usedom. The tour starts with a 1.5 hour boat trip to the pier in Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf & Bansin.

  • Golf and sea air

The Amber Baltic Golf Club is twelve kilometers west of Międzyzdroje. The 18-hole championship golf course, Amber, regularly plays host to national and international golf tournaments. The par 72 course is suitable for experienced and intermediate golfers. The 8-hole course is perfect for beginners who are just getting into the sport.

  • The Wisent of Wolin

Wisent were considered almost extinct but thanks to efforts of zoos and individuals, the population of 12 has increased again to 1,955 wild bison and further bison in other enclosures. Wolin National Park has a bison reserve open to visitors. There are numerous walking trails through the park, along the seaside and through the forests.

  • Miedzyzdroje Promenade

In Międzyzdroje, there is a 3 km-long promenade which runs alongside the hotel. As you stroll along it, you will see the Polish Walk of Fame with hand-prints of Polish stars. For a beautiful view, head to the pier with its arcade of shops. And on the eastern-end of the promenade, you will find a small fishing harbour.

  • Miedzyzdroje-on-Sea

Wolin's beaches are particularly child-friendly since the offshore sandbanks break the waves early. With 30 km of fine, white, Baltic sand, what are you waiting for? Choose between cheerful beaches with water slides or isolated beaches off the beaten track. The beach is popular all year round.
