Regional products
The chefs de cuisine are focused on using regional products from local providers. The lunchtime sausage at Skykitchen comes from Brandenburg,
the craft beer in the California-style restaurant Mavericks was brewed in Friedrichshain and the breakfast honey is from the bees on the hotel roof.

Green Globe certification
Keep a promise. The hotel subjects itself to a re-certification process every year and only works with companies that fulfil
the same environmental standards.

What can you do?
Hang the little “sack” outside on your door and the housekeeping staff will skip cleaning your room that day.
As a little thank you, you’ll receive a gift for your contribution to the environment.

Wind and water: the hotel uses 100% green electricity!

Biodiversity
The hotel guarantees that it does not prepare any protected animal species in the kitchen and
that the hotel operations do not endanger any local animal species.

What is the hotel staff doing?
All 250 employees are trained in aspects of environmental protection and act accordingly. For example, they use the public transport to get to work.
You can join them! Take the S-Bahn and trams that stop right at the doorstep. 

Avoiding emission
The hotel works exclusively with suppliers whose vehicle fleet is certified with the green environmental sticker. Guests with electric cars can charge their vehicles for free with green electricity at the charging stations in the hotel garage.

Always making improvements
During the last renovations, the hotel made sure to use materials containing a minimum of harmful substances and switched to interior LED lighting.
