Vienna House opening new hotel in Warsaw
Vienna/Warsaw, 08.08.2017 – Vienna House is opening a new 164-room hotel in Warsaw’s Mokotów business district in the summer of 2018.
The new hotel, Vienna House Mokotów Warsaw, is being positioned as a casual 4-star superior business hotel with a combination of industrial design, modern, green guesthouse culture and a culinary journey of discovery that is based on sustainability values.
Warsaw has experienced significant growth in the last ten years and has become a globally leading destination with a focus on culture, politics and business. The district of Mokotów, located near Warsaw’s Chopin international airport, has developed from an industrial area into a booming business district. “Opening a hotel in Warsaw was a natural step for us. We have been managing hotels in Poland very successfully for many years, including a resort and several business and city hotels,” explains Rupert Simoner, CEO of Vienna House. “The new Vienna House brand hotel confirms our growth strategy as well as our commitment to the Polish market. And I am sure that one or more hotels will follow,” Simoner adds. The owner of the new hotel is private equity fund Garvest based in Polish Poznań. Vienna House Mokotów Warsaw will be managed under a lease agreement. The investment volume amounts to about EUR 22 million.
The leitmotif of the new Vienna House will touch on the industrial past of the location and the zeitgeist of the booming district. This will be reflected in the visual concept, based on a design by Polish architectural firm Jems Architekci. The focus of all activity will be the hotel lobby, which will fulfil the wishes of the modern, cosmopolitan guest. Thanks to tables and chairs that can be easily grouped into new arrangements, the cosy lobby will present itself with a new look every day so that guests are constantly discovering different perspectives and possibilities. Gone is the classic reception. The employees are authentic hosts and the check-in – if not already done via mobile – is performed casually upon arrival. The drink at the bar? The bar is where guests go to feel like they are at home. Everything flows together and radiates an aura of comfort and casualness. Free high-speed Internet awaits, as do useful digital services, zeitgeisty products and cool gifts. The target group of the hotel will be business travellers, employees of local companies and area residents.
Market breakfast and “Green House” restaurant
The breakfast experience takes its inspiration from a visit to the local market. Fresh seasonal products and local specialities – these are the ingredients for a healthy start to the day. In line with the Vienna House brand promise of “endless exploration”, the restaurant visit will be like a local journey of discovery. The atmosphere will blend easy-going Polish guesthouse culture with lots of wood, the open feel of a green- or glasshouse and the freshness of a green oasis. The culinary offer is to be simple but with the best that local farmers have to offer. The focus will be on a sustainable relationship with local producers. The “Green House” restaurant will feature a terrace with about 50 seats offering the savoir-vivre of an Italian piazza combined with the relaxed atmosphere of a pub garden.
164 rooms with wellness bathrooms
The linearity of industrial design meets 21st century comfort. Large glass surfaces, red brick and steel on the one hand are juxtaposed with natural materials like wood and wool in warm colour tones on the other. The illumination will also play an important role in creating an overall sense of comfort in the interior design. In the guest rooms, the beds will be extralong and the furnishings modern and comfortable. All rooms will offer an ideal sleep-live-work balance. The bathrooms are being designed as individual wellness areas with a spacious spa-shower, premium amenities and natural beauty products. Here, too, the lighting concept will be a decisive element for the atmosphere of relaxation.
Creative meetings and fitness
“Anyone who has ever experienced a creative meeting set-up will never again want the classic seating arrangement,” says Rupert Simoner. “Vienna House follows the same philosophy for conferences as it does in all other areas. We want to inspire our guests. Our focus is on keeping things simple, uncomplicated and casual, always with a fine feeling for a special, relaxed style.” The 250 m² meeting and conference space can be arranged as needed, features natural daylight and is just as suited for product presentations or photo shoots as it is for seminars.
A must for today’s business traveller is the fitness and wellness area with modern cardio and strength equipment as well as a treatment room. The hotel will also offer 50 parking spaces in an underground car park.Piazza_and_facade_rendering_Vienna_House_Mokotow_Warsaw.jpg
