Christmas dinner at The Market at Vienna House Dream Castle Paris

This year, The Market will be decorated with red and green to immerse visitors in a traditional Christmas, entertained by a magician, a face painting stand, a magnificent gospel choir and, of course, a visit from Santa himself. As an aperitif, mulled wine or spiced apple juice are accompanied by petits fours. Guests then start their meal with pumpkin velouté, salmon stuffed with vegetables, duck foie gras from the south west of France, game terrines (pheasant, boar, deer and rabbit), a variety of Christmas salads and a wide selection of fish (smoked trout, haddock, gravlax salmon and tuna) and shellfish (squid, Fine de Claire oysters, whelks, langoustines and pink shrimp).

For the main course, the table can choose to share one of the following four dishes:

  1. Christmas turkey stuffed with vegetables accompanied by potato croquettes
  2. or a fricassée of scallops and monkfish with champagne and miniature roast vegetables
  3. or veal fillet accompanied by morels, chestnuts, forest mushrooms and pumpkin
  4. or a traditional beef Wellington, foie gras sauce and sauté potatoes

For dessert, the chef suggests his selection of desserts and mini Christmas logs.

"To ensure the best match between food and wine this year, a real wine cellar will be installed in the restaurant and supervised by an expert sommelier from Maison Rothschild," explains Mathieu Astuguevieille, the Catering Manager.

Gold Is The New Black: New Year at The Kitchen at Vienna House Dream Castle Paris

In a setting that plays with shades of gold and black, the New Year's Eve buffet has to be seen to be believed right from the start with a photo call and a face-painting stand. Guests start their meal with the traditional foie gras platter, a velouté of pumpkin with ceps and chestnuts, scallop tartare with mango, lychee and foie gras, a variety of salads as well as a seafood display (smoked trout, haddock, gravlax salmon, tuna) and other seafood (squid, Fine de Claire oysters, whelks, langoustines and pink shrimp). Choosing a main course is difficult unless you can have a bit of everything: veal medallion stuffed with ceps, gratin dauphinois with truffles, beef Wellington, duck breast prepared in a crust and with gingerbread, medallion of langoustine, scallop fricassee, fillet of sole with champagne sauce... there's more than enough to make your mouth water! For dessert, food lovers are sure to be tempted by macaroon éclairs with peanuts, praline and chocolate fingers, chilled Mont Blanc and various logs (raspberry, lychee or citrus). The Nicolas Feuillatte champagne bar offers its Gold and Wonders editions while a DJ provides a musical atmosphere all night long and entertainment for children. At midnight, bring in 2020 with lanterns released into the sky.
