The weir on the Lech
The Lech is often labelled as a small river and it is therefore underestimated. However, the weir on the Lech clearly shows how big, impressive and dangerous the Lech can be. Since the Lech flows through the middle of Landsberg, the weir serves to protect the town during floods. All around there are also a few gravel banks, which are ideal for swimming when summer comes.

The nature reserve of Landsberg
The heart of the Lech Valley between Landsberg and Schongau is the "Pössinger Au" park. The forest area lies south of the town on the east bank of the river Lech. This landscape conservation area, comprised of a wonderful forest, a meadow and a floodplain landscape - is home to many rare animals and plants.

Take the Kempte regional express train to Kaufering and change there onto the regional line to Landsberg, which is just 2 stops away. From there, take a taxi to the hotel.

- From Munich airport:
Take S-Bahn S8 from the airport to Herrsching (terminus). Then change onto the Füssen regional express train to Kaufering. From there catch a train to Landsberg, and from Landsberg station take a taxi to the hotel.

- From the south:
Coming from the direction of Lindau/Bodensee, take the A96 to the Landsberg Nord exit and follow the signs from there.
- From the north:
Take the A7 towards Füssen. At the Memmingen junction take the A96 towards Munich (München). Take the Landsberg Nord exit and follow the signs from there.
- From the west and east:
Take the A96 to the Landsberg Nord exit and follow the signs from there.
